For a slighter sweeter version, add agave syrup before. Run a lime wedge around the outside of the rim of your glass before rolling the rim in a little fine sea. Squeeze in the lime juice, pop on the top part of your shaker, then shake hard for about 30 seconds to mix it all together and chill the liquid really well. Step 3 Shake and then strain into the glass over ice. Fill the jug of a cocktail shaker with ice, then pour in the tequila and triple sec. Add ice generously, and stir or shake (by putting another cup over the top). If desired, strain mixture to remove any lime pulp, although I don’t bother. Taste and see if you need to make tweaks. My husband came up with this super simple recipe, which we’re obsessed with, and I added the simple addition of a salted lime zest rim along the edge of the glass to really add a fresh kick to the marg. I will fully admit, I can usually not handle hard liquor…I rarely ever drink it, and if I have more than one or two glasses, it usually turns into some kinda Jekyll and Hyde type situation (don’t judge, you’ve been there too….). If you like margaritas served in a glass with salt, rub the outside rims of 6glasses with a cut lime and dip each glass lightly into a plate of kosher.
